The pistol is interchangeable with the M1911A1 made by Colt since it was produced to be just like the one's made by Colt under contract. It's serial number is 35367 so that tells me that is was one that was produced under the contract and not made in the USA by Colt. The handgun is in fairly good shooting condition. Marriage License Arlington Virginia. This article second paragraph shows some of this information some of the other info I posted was found elsewhere. So if anyone knows what the value of this handgun is I would really appreciate any input.

Thank You, Eric Weeks. Best Answer: You pretty much answered your own?, except for giving the worth of your weapon. Your 1927 is neither a 'Colt', nor a M-1911A1. It is an Argentine Mod.1927, as you yourself stated. These pistols were made under license granted by Colt in 1928, and are not quite as good a quality as their U.S. In fact, ANY of the U.S. Military 1911-A1's from WWI I are better than the Argentine clones.

The best quality examples of these 'furriners' are worth, at best, $250-300. I have both Remington-Rand and Colt series 70's, and I wouldn't trade either one for a 1/2 doz. Of these South American copies. Argentina has manufactured some good Colt clones.
