F1 Challenge 99 02 Setups For Nascar
Anyone remember this gem? I've got the PSone version and it's still fantastic, great handling and real fun to play. Plus it's got Murray! The newer F1 sims left me cold - Grand Prix 4 in particular with its bugs.
F1 Challenge 99-02 is very good, but Fomula One 97 is still unsurpassed for me in terms of fun. Anyhow, reading about it on the web, I see a PC version was released.
Just downloaded the demo and the visuals are better on my (very old) PC than the PSX version through an emulator. So - anyone know of anywhere I can get this game? Anyone got it and want to sell / donate it? I've emailed Bizarre Creations to ask but don't know if I'll have any luck.!
More lead lap cars tangling with lapped cars. Footage owned by: ESPN, TNT, FOX Sports, and SETN. Footage uploaded by: KingCuervo88, vanillacoker1, KA128183, and NASCAR.
I realise it's a long shot, but hey, EG has come up trumps before! Gremmi wrote: Microprose Formula One Grand Prix (first version) is still the king of sims. Download Gx Works 2 Keygen Free. The one on the N64 was notable for having an odd glitch where if you hit a particular corner at a certain speed your car would suddenly lose three wheels.
I've got all the Geoff Crammond games on PC, and the first on the Amiga. 1 is fantastic but slow, 2 & 3 are very similar (and 2 runs very oddly in DOSBox on my PC, and I've had so many bugs with 4 that I gave up. Formula One '97 just works, and is great fun.
Never thought of Amazon - doh! I think GP4 was just too ambitious, a huge undertaking. The first three were just coded by him, weren't they (I think I remember somewhere about his brother recording footage of the tracks or something)?
I think more people were involved in 4, certainly the graphics were amazing for the time, but I had a fantastic PC then (better than the one I've got now!), and it veered wildly between 1-50fps. I got another PC years later and tried again, without too much success. As you can probably tell, I love F1 games! I played Grand Prix 2 for about 6 years and raced it in a number of offline leagues, hence it is probably my favourite F1 game ever. F1 '97 was a great game at the time too, although having bought it for £2 a few months back I would suggest not going back to revisit old memories as it has obviously aged somewhat.
Get my F1 kicks from a modded rFactor these days. EDIT: incidentally, the game was pulled from the shelves due to the FIA logo being put on the cover when it shouldn't have been rather than the Villeneuve issue, which was still present in the original version as old blondie had his own image rights and was asking too much to appear in the game. Install Icc Profiles Flexi 10 Software. All they did was airbrush the FIA logo out of the box art and put it back on shelves again.

I think that was Formula One World Grand Prix, and I had it and the sequel. It was good, but the handling was a bit off.
The handling was super realistic, I had a quick go on it a few months ago and it's brilliant - put a back wheel on the grass and you really feel it snap round if you didn't take your finger off the (analogue, yay) accelerator. Unless you played with the driver aids on and the damage off?
